Isn't the Bible Sexist?

Description

Secularists often criticise the Bible for being sexist, while failing to recognize that the Bible has a far higher view of women than is the case within a materialist worldview. The Bible certainly treats men and women asymmetrically, but the Bible presents world history as often turning on the initiative of individual women. Therefore, though the Bible often presents men and women as having asymmetry of role, we find strong teaching presenting women as equal with men in ontological value and giving reasons to doubt that the actions of men (other than Jesus) will be found in the judgement to have been more significant than those of women.
