The Most Useful Management Tool I Know: Situational Leadership

Description

John Lenton describes Situational Leadership as "the most useful management tool I know."  Why? Because it helps team members develop into effective contributors quickly, in a way that suits their own personal needs and level of expertise.  It requires that a manager think hard about each team-member's development stage and then to respond with an appropriately thought-through leadership approach.  It is, in fact, a good expression of true servant leadership, which is what Jesus called us to in Mark 9:35.
