Description
For most people, many of the most fundamental beliefs they hold, such as their moral beliefs, their beliefs about the meaning of life, and their religious beliefs, are not based on arguments, but are basic beliefs. This session analyses the various non-argumentative motivations for atheism, shows how these motives can be recognised, and makes a proposal as to how we can take them into account when we do philosophy of religion.
