Public Leadership: The Church's Need and How It Can Impact the Culture

The church rightly focuses on developing leaders for the pulpit, but what about leaders in society? Across the west there is a crisis of leadership in public life. The church often provides numerous forms of leadership in communities at a local level, and there has recently been a healthy focus on leading in spheres and professions. But that's clearly not enough. If we want to see deep and lasting change in our cities and nations, we need to be intentional and strategic. This means growing a leadership culture in the church - trans-generational leadership that is biblically rooted, visionary and effective. The Evangelical Alliance in the UK is committed to seeing this happen in the years ahead.
