From Traditional Denomination to Church-Planting Movement: A Personal Journey

Description

The debate has flowed for some decades about whether traditional denominations can be renewed.  Some have argued that only new movements have the spiritual momentum needed to make a difference.  Church planters can often be frustrated by existing denominational structure and denominational leaders can be suspicious of those who seek to church plant.  However there is increasing evidence from various parts of Europe that church planting can not only thrive in existing denominational structures but they have the potential to transform the system itself.  We examine one case history to explore the wider lessons for the church in Europe.
