Emotional Traps for Christian Leaders Today
- 4535 reads
Description
Christian leaders carry great responsibility but are also very vulnerable to misusing their position and power. Leadership is often lonely and, while ministering to many needy and broken people, leaders are usually not good at taking care of themselves well. This puts enormous stress on their marriages and families and often leads to addictions, affairs, depression, burnout, and resignation. This roundtable discussion focuses on common emotional traps and how to avoid them in order to build resilience.
Roundtable panelists include:
Richard Winter (Moderator), Psychotherapist and Director, Counselling Program at Covenant Theological Seminary
Glynn Harrison, Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry, Bristol University
Mark Stirling, Director, The Chalmers Centre
Emőke Tapolyai, Marriage and Family Counsellor
