Description
In Philippians 3, Paul encounters two obstacles to living a life worthy of the Gospel and being right with God. How can he, who was religiously superior to all who were making their boast in the flesh, be able to count others more significant and serve them? And how can he be right with God when the religious superiority he has is not nearly good enough? Paul is able to overcome these obstacles by rightly viewing his achievements as loss and fully accepting the gift of righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ. This talk considers how we should rightly view justification by faith and combats five distortions of this doctrine recently clouding evangelical thought.
