The Supremacy of God in the Care of Souls

Date recorded: 22 May 2017 | Speaker: Eric Johnson | Event: ELF Christian Counsellors Network
The Supremacy of God in the Care of Souls

Description

Because the goal of modern psychotherapy is psychological healing using only human resources, it functions in some ways like a secular religion. While there are many things to learn from it, the triune God of Christianity has provided a very different framework for soul healing through Christ in which God is centrally involved. The therapeutic implications of this theocentric model for psychotherapy and counselling are explored.
