In this talk, Jerry Root discusses how we, as fallen, sinful humans, have a propensity to lack self-awareness. This lack is particularly damaging for leaders, who may experience great moral failure or who may be tempted to write “Thus saith the Lord” across their own opinions. We contextualize self-awareness in community, but in a broken world, true self-awareness can only be found by defining our relationship with God.
