Power Addicts in the Church

Jesus himself warned the church of false prophets who come in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ferocious wolves. But to whom was he referring to, and can that be occurring in churches today? Many Christians can recall times when they encountered those who in their overt or covert aggressive behavior have brought more hurt than healing to others. Unfortunately in many churches such personalities succeed in rising to leadership positions, and like wolves in sheep’s clothing exploit the flock for their own gain. This session identifies the signs and personalities of power addiction and why they are so prevalent and successful in churches. The session also discusses strategies and advice on how to handle those with power addictions in the church.
