Preaching the New Testament Epistles

Description

While this genre is the most familiar and readily accessible to contemporary European Christians, its teaching or preaching is often dull, predictable, and trite. How can we recover the cutting-edge of apostolic teaching for today's church and culture? How does the concept of "melodic line" help us to hear the uniqueness of each epistle and focus its application? If the epistles are not taught penetratingly and contextually, what weaknesses result and how does the Christian "evangel" become distorted? We explore some ways in which we can learn to listen to familiar passages with renewed hearing.
