Understanding and Critiquing Bonhoeffer's Idea of a "Non-Religious Christianity"


In the last seven decades many attempts have been made to interpret Bonhoeffer's puzzling thoughts on a "non-religious Christianity". With Bonhoeffer's growing popularity among evangelicals, it is important to look at his most controversial contribution to theology again. In this lecture the speaker will give a primarily Christological interpretation of Bonhoeffer's "new theology" and an evangelical critique of what has been understood.
