Responding to Transgender Culture

One of the most significant cultural issues to impact us in Europe in recent years is the advent of transgender culture. In addition to the theological and ethical questions that this debate raises, the whole issue has been poisoned by aggressive campaigners who vilify anyone who dares to raise questions about the issue and accuse them of transphobia. As Christians we cannot ignore this debate because it has grown in importance, at the same time we need to respond lovingly to the trans community and that means, among other things, telling the whole truth about the trans debate and its consequences.

In this webinar we are going to investigate the trans issue by asking why it have become so significant and reflecting on its potential dangers. We will ask how we as Christians can position ourselves to engage in this debate as well as giving practical ways in which local churches can respond to the transgender community as well as individual trans men and women whom we may minister to.
