In the face of persecution for witnessing in the name of Jesus Christ, the early Church began to define itself more clearly and uncompromisingly as distinct from Judaism. This talk examines the implications recorded in Acts of these distinctions for worship, witnessing, and community life and challenges us to be as uncompromising and clear in communicating the gospel today.
