Description
Charles Darwin’s "Origin of the Species" revolutionised biology, but did it refute the design argument? In this talk, the speaker argues that it did not. Instead, he shows that the digital code imbedded in DNA points powerfully to a designing intelligence and helps unravel a mystery that Darwin did not address: how did the very first life begin? This presentation, based upon Meyer’s book "Signature in the Cell," explains the scientific case for intelligent design based on DNA. In it, the speaker shows that the argument for intelligent design is not based on ignorance or “giving up on science,” but instead upon our growing scientific knowledge of the information stored in the cell and what we know from our experience about what it takes to produce functional information. He shows the case for design can be formulated as a rigorous scientific argument using the same method of reasoning that Darwin himself used.
