Miikka Niiranen
Real name:
Miikka Niiranen studied engineering at Aalto University and theology at Helsinki University. He is now pursuing his PhD on James Clerk Maxwell's views on theology, philosophy, and science at Aalto. During his undergraduate studies, he was active in university student ministry through IFES Helsinki, where he served as the chairman for one year. At the time, he also served for two years on the national board of IFES Finland. After several years in R&D and training departments in the elevator and low voltage drives industries, he is now working as a journalist at the Christian newspaper Uusi Tie. He is a founding member and the chief editor of the web magazine Areiopagi, which publishes articles on the intersection of science, theology, and philosophy. He is married to Jarna with whom he has two sons.
