Challenging Atheism - Defending the Faith - Using Modern Media
In the world of ideologies it is often believed that science and belief in God are at war. Consequently, millions of would-be believers are dissuaded from having faith in a creator and atheism continues to spread the stereotype that to have faith is to abandon reason. Ideas have consequences and one highly significant outcome is the shrinking of church attendance and membership in the western world. In the UK, the Evangelical Alliance is now using the expression ‘the missing generation’.
A television and DVD series – The God Question - was designed to shatter the unfair conflict model of science versus God and offer believers and honest seekers a very balanced way of examining whether Orthodox science progressively dismisses the need for God or by contrast points to the intricacies of his handiwork. This webinar will focus on crucial misunderstandings about theism in the war between science and God and suggest, based on the evidence, that the faith required to believe that all of existence is based on chance exceeds the faith required to believe in a creator.
The agenda and the illustrations will be drawn from The God Question series which is available for all to use in their own national contexts in the battle for the truth.
