Tackling the Violence Passages of the Bible

One of the greatest challenges facing the contemporary church is the large number of Bible texts, especially in the Old Testament, that advocate the use of violence by the people of God. Secularists and atheists reject the Christian faith because God seems to approve of genocide and ethnic cleansing, which our culture finds morally offensive.

Whilst we want to challenge the acts of Islamic extremists, the Old Testament contains many more calls to use war and violence than the Quran.
