Description

Climate change is one of the great scientific and political issues of our day. While a consensus has emerged within the scientific community that global temperatures have been rising over the last century, there is a minority of scientists and many political campaigners who profoundly disagree with the consensus view. This talk sets the contemporary debate in the context of what is known about climate change from the recent geological past and considers what inferences can be drawn for future climate change.
