Compelled to Proclaim

We know from the biblical record that so many of the earliest followers of Jesus incessantly proclaimed their faith wherever they went, often in the face of great peril and severe opposition. Rather than keeping silent about their faith in order to avoid calling attention to themselves, the disciples shared the Good News wherever they went, first with their fellow Jews, then with Gentiles. They couldn’t keep quiet about what they knew to be true. What drove these early beliefs to proclaim their faith so passionately and so persistently? What compelled them to proclaim?
